How long does the program take?

MT Advantage offers many modules that most other programs never cover. For example, most transcriptionists work in Microsoft Word, so your success depends on a vital in-depth understanding of Microsoft Word functions. MT Advantage teaches the Beginning, Intermediate and Advanced features of Microsoft Word via interactive video as they relate to medical transcription. If you are already an experienced user, you may want to skip the Beginning and Intermediate lessons. Just knowing MS Word saves you many hours of frustration and helps ensure your success by concentrating your studies on just where it is needed. We also teach extensive computer use as well as FTP (File Transfer Protocol which you'll be using on the job) along with Pharmacology, Laboratory, and Pathology which a number of other courses don't offer.

For these reasons, you can expect the course to take a little longer than most other courses -- about 9 to 12 months is what we estimate.  If you need more time, extensions are FREE. Of course, if you work full time every day on the course, you could be finished a lot sooner.  So, the answer to the question really is . . . it's all up to YOU!
